Sarah + Nicholas | Foxhill Manor, Broadway

In late October we went to Foxhill Manor in Broadway for the wedding of Sarah and Nicholas. Sarah is English but now lives in America with Nicholas so they wanted a traditional English manor house in which to have all their friends and family together. Foxhill was the perfect venue. Unfortunately it tipped it down pretty much all day but that didn’t dampen our spirits! In-fact at the end of the evening it cleared up and we managed to get some amazing sunset pictures outside. Sarah is a fashion stylist so the attention to detail was amazing, from the flowers to the place settings everything looking incredible and the cake was one of the most unusual we’ve seen. Here are some of our favourites from the day…

Jes + Andrew | Thornbury Castle, Gloucestershire

Another amazing wedding at Thornbury Castle for Jes & Andrew who had flown in with friends and family from Pennsylvania in the U.S.A. English tradition and history was the order of the day and the couple arranged for a Falconer to come along! The couple’s style and individually shone through and their love of all things Harry Potter played a big part of the day. There were too many cool photos from this wedding but here a few of our faves…

Adam + Jenny | Merriscourt, Chipping Norton, Gloucestershire

In July we were lucky enough to photograph the wedding of Jenny & Adam at Merriscourt - what an amazing venue and a brilliant group of people! It make our job so much easier when the location looks this good and the Bride and Groom were really into the photography and up for going out into the fields and country lanes!

The weather was perfect, too hot if anything but can’t complain. It honestly was a great day and we hope the photos show it!

John + Rosie | Thornbury Castle, Gloucestershire

Another gorgeous wedding at Thornbury Castle! We never tire of doing weddings here because there is always a new angle or another secret spot to find for a great photograph. This May, we had the pleasure of photographing John and Rosie’s wedding who had flown in with family and friends from sunny Los Angeles!

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph such a great bunch and the evening was helped along by a Cosmopolitan or two and some amazing fireworks in the grounds! We hope you like some of the shots from a brilliant day…

Tarryn + Jake | Trinity Church & Minsterworth Village Hall, Gloucestershire

April saw our first wedding of 2019 with the lovely Tarryn and Jake. The weather was great for April which meant we could go and explore the woods of Robinswood Hill after the ceremony. Tarryn & Jake were more than happy to go off the beaten track and do some exploring to get some epic shots in the woodland on the hill.

Family and friends enjoyed drinks and partying at the picturesque Minsterworth Hall where they enjoyed the bouncy castle, candy floss and slush puppies! With a hog roast and plenty of fizz flowing it was a great day. Family had flown in from South Africa and the guests were all treated to a dance-marathon from the two best men. A brilliant day was had by all and we think the photos really show how happy the newlyweds are…

Deb + Rob | Cotswold House Hotel, Chipping Campden

We had the pleasure of photographing Deb & Rob's wedding on New Year's Eve. What a great day and fabulous way to send off 2018 in style.

Everyone had a ball, especially Vinnie (the dog) who was the centre of attention in his waistcoat and he even had his own buttonhole!

A wonderful way to start 2019 as Husband & Wife...thanks for letting us be part of your special day. Here are just a few shots from the day...

Laura + Graham | The Bay Tree Hotel, Burford

In December, we photographed the fabulous wedding of Laura & Graham in the small medieval town of Burford on the River Windrush in the Cotswold hills in West Oxfordshire.

It was a chilly December day outside but lovely and toasty inside the Bay Tree Hotel with its roaring fires, whiskey flowing and family & friends in fine form! Here's just a few photos from the wonderful day.

Nick + Emma | Avon Gorge Hotel, Bristol

November saw the wedding of the lovely Nick & Emma at Avon Gorge Hotel in Bristol. What a venue, what a view! The majestic Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning across the Avon Gorge is a magnificent feat of engineering. Mix that with the gorgeous Avon Gorge Hotel and you have the setting for an epic wedding day with wonderful people and a great atmosphere. The hotel is sumptuous and sophisticated and the interiors made for some fabulous photos. The Bride looked incredible and the Groom was keeping it stylish in a 3 piece Harris Tweed suit. We had a great day (and evening!)….hope you enjoy some shots from the day.

Louisa + Paul | Thornbury Castle, Gloucestershire

Our final wedding of the year at Thornbury Castle was on a bright sunny day in September. A small gathering of family and friends saw Louisa and Paul tie the knot in the beautiful library room. The weather was even warm enough for drinks on the lawn, before a sit down meal in the Baron dining room. Their beautiful daughter was the cutest bridesmaid you’ll ever see! Hope you enjoy some of the highlights of the day.

Angie + Patrick | Thornbury Castle, Gloucestershire

Our penultimate wedding of 2018 at Thornbury Castle was in late September when we had the pleasure of meeting Angie and Patrick and their family from New York. The weather was incredible and the mood of the day was as warm as the weather! It meant we got some really great ‘lens flare’ shots and captured the low sun that we get in the UK in the Autumn and Winter. We really enjoyed meeting everyone and the bride and groom were great fun and up for exploring the wonderful ruins and secret spots this great venue has! Enjoy some highlights from the day.

Michelle + Sean | Thornbury Castle, Gloucestershire

We are very lucky to have several chances a year to photograph weddings at Thornbury Castle.  It's such a romantic setting and there are lots of areas to go off the beaten track and explore.  Michelle and Sean had flown in from the USA and brought 70 of their friends and family with them!  They wanted something more natural and fun than the usual staged shots and were up for something different which makes our job even more enjoyable.  What a fabulous couple and their family and friends were a great laugh.  Here is a selection from the day...

Kirstie + James | Royal Crescent Hotel & Prior Park, Bath

What a day!  Flaming June lived up to its expectations as we embarked on a day to remember starting at Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath feeling like we'd just stepped into a Jane Austen novel.

The wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful walled garden and the bride looked incredible!  The groom didn't look too bad either!  Afterwards, we headed to Prior Park College for a very special blessing in the chapel.  Only former pupils have the honour of using this stunning location and so it was a great chance to do some very special shots.  A marquee in the grounds was the setting for the wedding breakfast, with hundreds of flowers hanging from the ceiling and with the backdrop of the Prior Park Palladian Bridge, it really was an unforgettable day.  We hope you enjoy just a few of the highlights...

Justin + Ashley | The Battleaxes, Bristol

The Battleaxes is a beautiful old building located in Wraxall just south of Bristol. It has a commanding presence over the south Bristol countryside and was a beautiful wedding location for Bristol lads Justin and Ashley. These guys know how to throw a party and everything about the day smacked of their personalities. Both guys looked dapper in their Ted Baker suits and the ceremony went like clockwork. Friends are a huge part of A&J's life and they all turned out ready to fill the dance floor and rock it into the wee small hours. Jayne - Justin's 'best woman' carried off her speech with aplomb and even managed to get Christopher Biggins to say a few words by Facetime! From a Wedding Photographers point of view, the month of December and low light can sometimes be difficult, but the glow of candles, twinkling lights on the Christmas Tree and warm fires all added to the scene and we managed to produce some atmospheric images for the guys that really captured the feeling of warmth. The Battleaxes interior of warm colours, rich mahogany furniture and wonderful antiques all added to scene.  A&J chose a wintery theme for the main hall and there were hints of holly and ivy everywhere, mistletoe hanging from the seating and even a Christmas tree positioned in the bay window where the guys made their wedding vows. Candles glowed on every table and the food was nothing short of spectacular. I also have to mention the cake which was made by Victoria at 'Yumscrum cakes'...amazing! I also managed to try out an idea that I had been thinking about for the guys - a 'Vanity Fair' style group shot. I used my fashion and commercial lighting experience to produce the following image which is composed from 20 separate photos...Congratulations Ashley and Justin!
